Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to skip every week inside my column. This week I is going to be reviewing 5 great tech necessities and tech 'I want that'. This week includes intros to;
As always, tech changes every day, and quite often minute to minute. If you would like something reviewed, please email me the web site and product info and I will endeavour and do my best.
Lexar continues to be synonymous with storage and memory for many years. Since the inception of this column, I have been fortunate to examine most new offerings from Lexar, including flash drives, SSD drives and card readers. Last week I got a hold to two great offerings. Luckily, I have an abundance of them, so I am never without backup media. The two new drives that were tested were the Jump Drive P10 along with the Jump Drive S23. Both drives were immediately recognized by Windows 8, OSx Mountain Lion , Android Ice Cream Sandwich and Ubuntu 12.04. The larger of the two flash drives (The P10) was setup with Apples time machine because the backup drive. They are fast and compact. The S23 is also extra portable as it features a key chain connection. Learn more at
iHome, may be producing inexpensive (see the adjective is the fact that, and never CHEAP) accessories to your iOS devices for quite a while. Each device offers excellent, big sound and great value, in comparison with higher (possibly over priced) priced products. The iDL45 is the one other among those great products. It features a lightning connector for that newest iOS products, but in addition a USB (dual) charging and playing port for legacy products. It also boasts a large numeric clock display, as well as dual alarms with an AM/FM radio. The sound was unexpectedly impressive. It was able to keep track of another dock that was larger and boasted better sound. Learn more at
So you own a Mac Book. How many times perhaps you have said '$#%^*#(, I cant believe I deleted that. What the #$%^& am I going to do now'? That being said, which was me earlier within the week. I deleted a lot of files to make more room, and found that I deleted my Outlook 2011 database file. Frantically, I researched for your best recovery software. In talking to friends with the Apple Store as well as Apple directly, several names emerged. The one common denominator, was Data Rescue 3 by Prosoft Engineering. Install was as close to instant as you possibly can. Once that has been done, the total scan took about 5 minutes. Then the song 'Hallelujah' was played in my head, as I found the complete file I had wrongly (euphemism for stupidly) deleted. When restoring it, it absolutely was fully restored and totally intact. There was NO LOSS what so ever. While there is no guarantee that most your deletions will likely be recoverable, many provides the highest ratings from many users and professionals alike. Check out Data Rescue 3 on their site. And fear not, these people have a windows version also.
Who doesn't prefer to cut costs ? Bill Gates ? The Woz ? Warren Buffet ? Of course. For the rest of us, spending less is a great thing so that you can do. As you could know, some coupon sites are somewhat 'scamish' using their ad-ware and browser ad-ons. Well, Food available isn't among those sites. It permits you to find recipes, plan meal to get a day, weekly or longer. It will then take your data and tell the place that the ingredients include the most affordable. It will supply you with the coupons too, therefore it is indeed a no brainer.
Now for any little fun. I used to have an individual gaming addiction in my iPhone. It is words with friends. At any given time, I can have up to 10 games at the same time. I started however, getting invites because of this game called 'Candy Crush'. I i never thought much over it, until I saw a fellow gymnastics parent playing it. So I downloaded it. Help me, I cant input it down. Once you have it, you may feel the same. Come join me in rehab after installing from your app store.
See you next week
